[SMM Analysis: Strong Overseas Purchasing Enthusiasm, SiMn Exports in May Increased MoM] According to the latest release from the General Administration of Customs, SMM statistics show that China's SiMn exports in May 2025 were 4,554.99 mt, up 33.06% MoM. The cumulative exports from January to May were 12,900 mt, down 39.76% YoY. China's SiMn imports in May 2025 were 423.92 mt, down 0.56% MoM. The cumulative imports from January to May were 4,700 mt, down 55.72% YoY. The reason for the increase in exports in May was the strong enthusiasm of overseas steel mills for purchasing SiMn, leading to an increase in SiMn exports MoM. From the perspective of import and export data, the main export volume of SiMn came from Indonesia, while the main import volume came from Kazakhstan.
